Let's be real: Paulding is a fake. He is attempting to position himself as an independent when he clearly is not. He is lock-step with the slo county Democrat progressives. He has taken money from them, as well as Bruce Gibson and Adam Hill. Why doesn't Paulding just come out and say what he is? He would earn some respect that way. It's obvious that if elected, he will be a tool of Hill and the progressives.
Note to Paulding: Actions speak louder than words, and facts are facts. You're a registered Dem and you have taken $ from the progressives. That means you are NOT an independent. But, it does mean you are already a deceiving politician before you have even held an office!

I am still curious as to why the Holland's gave Bruce Gibson money when he was part of the cover up and part of the problem. Obviously, back room promises were made- the Hollands are trying to buy this election so they have power to create change. It is a shame that in their grief, they are adding to an already corrupt system. If the sheriff should go, so should Gibson and Compton. Yes, something smells rotten here.

What will help? I have been impressed with the only non-party person running for supervisor in the county. Jeff Eckles is the right choice for District 2. He does not engage in the left-right war games. He has integrity. He listens. He is balanced. He cares deeply about his community and would make a great addition to the Board of Supervisors. So why did they donate $3500 to Bruce Gibson as well? Mr. Gibson is part of the problem.

Despite your fantasy posts, the fact remains: jimmy is already bot by hill/gibson and the Dem party (check the public finance filings). He disingenuously misrepresents himself as an independent when he so clearly is not. It's pathetic, as are your false posts.

This is wonderful comedic reading, rightword2, thank you for my morning chuckle.
Readers SHOULD do their research. When they do, they'll find both Gibson and Hill, and the Dem party have contributed to jimmy's campaign, and jimmy has the same treasurer for his campaign that Hill used. He is nothing close to being independent-minded. He is your tool, the tool of hill/gibson, and the Dem party, bought and paid for!
As you cash your checks to spread your political bile, the rest of us will sit back and be amused at your fantasy notion of a non-existent "coalition". Ha, that is rich.

Rightword- if Lynn Compton should go because of this issue, then so should Bruce Gibson, right?
Also, Jimmy has already created rancor in his campaign and claims to be an independent when he is in fact a Progressive Dem and has taken money from them, Bruce Gibson, and Adam Hill.
The only civil race I've seen in the county, by the way, is the 2nd District Supervisor race between Gibson and Eckles. They are both to be commended for running good campaigns and not getting in the mud.
