Since New Times (Dec. 9-11) titled my letter “Bush is mentally ill, a title that I would not have chosen, it appears that Phillip A. Moffat of Morro Bay misunderstood my letter to the editor.
I doubt that he read the book, because his rebuttal to my letter didn’t make sense. It seems that all he was trying to do was defend his hero rather than opening his mind to the content of the book.
“Bush on the Couch by Dr. Justin A. Frank is about a public figure who holds the highest office in the United States.
I feel certain that Dr. Frank could be sued if his material was not accurate.
One in three families has a member who has some degree of mental illness. I am a member of NAMI (National Alliance for the Mentally Ill, SLO) and an advocate for the mentally ill. I found Dr. Franks’ book to be fascinating and thought others might as well.
