Your cover story from a few weeks ago about Steve Diamond called “Sex in your city (Dec. 9-16) should have more accurately been given the title “Misogyny in your city.
Awhile ago I personally took a lengthy tour of Diamond Adult World in Grover Beach as research for an article I was writing, and I can say for a fact that the majority of the products there were not about “sex — unless your definition of sex is cruel degradation and dehumanization. A sadly typical example of one of the thousands of “sex videos is “Anally Ripped Whores.
Two more examples are “Throat Gaggers #5, and “Zero Tolerance — No Holes Barred.
So sure, I agree 100 percent with an earlier letter writer that “sex is normal and natural. Let’s just stop pretending that “adult stores are selling “sex. Let’s start being honest, and start facing the harsh reality that is continually being glossed over — that “adult stores are profiting off of ever-increasingly sick and glorified woman-hating.
