This lovely Rhone white is value-priced at only $16 retail. Its pretty array of citrus and spice flavors are so nicely balanced it will please those, like me, who prefer a fruit-driven white. The Paso Robles-grown fruit comes from vineyards in Santa Margarita and El Pomar District. Refreshingly delicious on its own, it’s also a great choice for main dish salads with poultry or prawns and goat cheese, chicken or pork chile verde, or a cheesy panini with prosciutto. Another sister label, this one is by winemaker Curt Schalchlin at Sans Liege. It’s available at his Pismo Beach tasting room on Price Street across from Giuseppe’s.
