Fresh cut bliss

Live fast, die SLO: Former SLO city news columnist and travel writer Gareth Kelly has published the book 100 Things to Do in San Luis Obispo County Before You Die. See what outdoor adventures, cultural sights, and food and wine experiences made the cut, and cross a few off your own bucket list. Mine definitely includes romping through spring wildflowers. (Go to 100thingstodoinslo.com for a preview of the tome or to pick up your own copy.) … The Central Coast Greenhouse Growers Association’s member nurseries of Nipomo and Arroyo Grande will open their lush spaces to the public this spring, and boy, are the blooms popping! On April 8, attend an open house and tour, get first dibs on an anticipated plant and flower sale, and chow down on barbecue (a portion of proceeds will go to the CCGGA Education Scholarship Fund). For more information on tours and the plant sale, go to ccgga.com.
