Feminists will spin their statistics

The thrust of “Life after rape” (May 8) is predicated on the dubious assumption that females never lie and, if handed a weapon, will never use it except for the purest of motives—and, therefore, when males are accused of assault, we can throw out constitutional guarantees of due process and the presumption of innocence.

This will sound misogynistic, but I have found that women are (gasp!) just as human as men—with the same capacity and motivations for deception and harm.

There is a well-documented history of feminists spinning (and often, simply manufacturing) statistics that a gullible media indiscriminately disseminates, that pandering politicians rush to adopt, that researchers later debunk but ... it’s too late because the numbers have already seeped into “common knowledge.”

By exploiting the predisposition among all good people to oppose domestic violence, sexual harassment, and income disparities, they did it with all three issues. Now, they do it with sexual assault.
