Fast facts

The Kennels of Springdale in Arroyo Grande has launched a new web site that enables pet owners to watch their pet via web cam. Vacationers can log in and check up on their four-legged loved one over the Internet. The web site also offers detailed information about the services offered. The Kennels of Springdale is basically like a hotel for pets. Guests or their owners choose from eight accommodations, like gradient heated floors, play yards, training, and grooming. Find out more at www.kennelsofspringdale.com or at 549-9832.

Cal Poly instructor Rod Hoadey received a patent for his signature bike rack design on June 5. The user-friendly bike racks can be found all around San Luis Obispo and on college campuses. It allows 14 bikes to fit in one standard automobile parking spot. With its new patent, Peak Racks hopes to expand and encourage more people to use bicycles.
