Constance Hart, a color aromatherapy pioneer, recently moved her group healing classes from Sycamore Mineral Springs Resort to what she described as her "sacred Indian-temple-like space in the heart of Los Osos." Chakra balancers can now find Chakra Restorative Yoga at the Conscious Colors Energy Center. Classes are held Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., and Wednesdays at noon. On Aug. 16, the Firestone family announced that Firestone Vineyard was acquired by the Foley Wine Group. The sale includes the Firestone Vineyard and Prosperity Wines brands, as well as the Santa Ynez Valley Winery and 480 acres of land including 380 of vineyards. The Firestone family will still hold on to Curtis Winery, Firestone Walker Brewing Company, the new family winery in Paso Robles, the Jarhead Red and Rock Hollow wine brands, and 400 acres in Santa Ynez Valley, including 215 of vineyards.

The City of San Luis Obispo is currently accepting applications for the third session of "The Making of a City," a community academy that teaches citizens about municipal government. Sessions begin Sept. 27, and cover organizations and funding, police and fire, a mock city council meeting, and more.
