Fast Facts

Pacific Wildlife Care is seeking donations to help feed a large number of sick brown pelicans currently in the group’s care. Recently, many primarily juvenile pelicans became severely weakened or died as a result of starvation. The organization is working to rehabilitate these birds, but the cost is considerable. Each bird requires 18 to 20 pounds of fish a day and a month of rehab before being released back into the wild.

Pacific Wildlife Care is an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization focused on rehabilitating sick, injured, and orphaned wildlife. For more information, visit the group online at www.pacificwildlifecare.org, or call 543-9453. ...
