The Dana Adobe Nipomo Amigos are celebrating Heritage Day and bringing history to life May 19, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Learn about local historical figures, including Henry Tefft, Captain William Dana, and his wife Maria Josefa Carrillo. The eighth annual Heritage Day will feature more than 50 historic re-enactors and interactive activities for the whole family. Live music includes a Baroque orchestra, 1850s Americana, and a Celtic ensemble. A campfire concert and fundraiser with dinner begins at 6 p.m. with chicken or a vegetarian option. Heritage Day is free, but tickets for the concert are $35 general, and $20 for students. Without dinner, you pay $20/$10. The Dana Adobe is located at 671 South Oakglen Ave. in Nipomo. Hungry? Naked Food is a new company in SLO specializing in fresh organic meals delivered to your business or home. All meals are vegan and sugar- and gluten-free. Lunches are available Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for any number of people up to 100. Entrees include zucchini angel hair pasta, Thai coconut soup, pine nut cheese and crackers, spring rolls, and more. Sunset North Car Wash has opened a fourth location in Paso Robles. Sunset offers hand washes in about 15 minutes and custom detailing.
