Made with mama's love: Blackberries, olallieberries, and raspberries are ripening to perfection at Two Peas in a Pod Farm in Edna Valley, and that can only mean one thing: more luscious fruit at the farmers' market and more jars of Mama's Preserves, crafted by fourth-generation farmer Lori Heal (mamaspreserves.com) ... Save the date for an All About Lamb pasture-to-plate dinner this June 11 at J&R Natural Meat and Sausage in Paso Robles! Listen to what local ranchers have to say about their herds, poke your head inside a mobile harvest unit, and learn about specific cuts via a detailed butchering demo! Oh, and did I mention you get to chow down on a tasty barbecue lunch (farmsteaded.com)? Psst! The last event featuring heritage pork sold out quick!
