Creston Crackdown

The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Department announced Monday it sent two men down to Ventura to face federal drug charges after they were arrested this weekend in Creston with approximately $30,000 worth of meth. Guillermo Manzo of Creston and Alfonso Morfin of Long Beach were taken into custody, along with 23-year-old David Barragan, who will not face federal charges but remains in the SLO County jail for a health and safety code violation.

According to the Sheriff’s office, an alliance of enforcement agencies—including the DEA and Immigrations and Custom Enforcement—capped a three-month investigation with a raid at 6 a.m. Saturday at the 4600 block of Highway 58. A loaded handgun, shotgun and paraphernalia, reportedly used for dealing methamphetamines, were collected as evidence.
