Feel the electricity: The Food Bank Coalition of San Luis Obispo County has received a $50,000 donation from Pacific Gas & Electric Company (PG&E) to support energy efficiencies for the Food Bank Coalition's new facility, enabling the addition of energy-efficient cold storage, lighting, insulation and other improvements ... SLO Wine Country recently announced results from the organization's biggest event and fundraiser of the year: Harvest on the Coast, which took place last month amid a swirl of wine-centric events. A whopping $42,000 was raised for Big Brothers Big Sisters of SLO County, and that makes a huge difference for youth in need! ... On Dec. 19, Sidecar in SLO will host a Christmas Toy Drive, and on Dec. 20, nearby Italian joint Flour House will follow suit. Guests are encouraged to bring unwrapped gifts to the restaurants on these dates and receive 20 percent off their dining check. Let's spread some joy, people!
