The SLO Community Development Director Derek Johnson needs to check the facts before putting Clovis on blast for “parking Jeeps on the front lawn.” If Mr. Johnson really knew the facts about Clovis he would know that it is a city that gives out citations for “parking Jeeps on the front lawn”! When my family decided to move to the Central Coast from Clovis in January I knew that we wouldn’t be welcomed with open arms once locals knew that we were from the Valley. It’s sad that people can be so pretentious because they live on the coast.
After reading this article, I am overjoyed that we decided not to live in SLO! The town and the people of Orcutt have been overly welcoming to my family. But I’m sure Mr. Johnson will have a snide remark about people from Orcutt because it’s not SLO!
