Cal Poly Solar Team shines in D.C.

As of press time, Solar Cal Poly was in second place in the Department of Energy-sponsored Solar Decathlon. The team was in a tight battle for second place, leading the University of Colorado by only .119 points. Final results are expected Oct. 14.
The Solar Cal Poly house was trucked to D.C. for the national competition three weeks ago. According to the Solar Cal Poly web site (solardecathlon.calpoly.edu), "After the competition, it is likely that the house will be sited in San Luis Obispo in order to serve as a full-scale, functioning case study for teaching and learning about environmental issues and architecture.-
