It is unfortunate that Ferrara makes these false charges against the chief and the Arroyo Grande Police Officers Association (“An Arroyo Grande postmortem,” Dec. 4).
The record is clear. Ferrara expended political capital by the cover-up of the Adams indiscretion. They would both be in office today if Ferrara had not done this.
Ferrara’s rejection of the police may be a confirmation of his alleged past activities to coerce the police to participate in the cover-up and to frustrate the Hill campaign. The District Attorney should be called to confirm the real truth here. Tony seems to be joining all those rebelling against the police today (Martin, Brown, and Garner).
