It's already that time of year when Central Coast artists allow admirers of their work to check out their homes and studios.
The Open Studios Art Tour kicks off Oct. 14 and 15 and then goes into the following weekend on Oct. 20 and 21 as well. The event is put on by Arts Obispo and is free to the public. Choose from around 200 local artists' spaces with work that includes abstract and representational painting, wood, glass, metal and ceramics. The art is displayed and sold by artists directly in their working studios. Many artists also have live demonstrations and works in progress so visitors can see art being created and get a feel for the process from concept to completion.
