ALAPAY CELLARS

It would be hard to find words that more accurately describe Avila Beach than "a world above" or "heavenly." In Chumash, these words translate as "Alapay," so it is fitting that the first bonded winery to open in downtown Avila Beach takes the name Alapay Cellars. The new tasting room is beautiful and the wines are wowing vistors, wine writiers, chefs and the press. Alapay's Pinot Noir has won the Gold in the S.F. Chronicle's tasting two years in a row. Their Viognier was chosen #1 in blind taste test of over 50 California Sauvignon Blancs and Viognier. Their talented winemaker, Scott Remmenga has crafted a broad selection of wines, from the delicate Viognier to a full bodied Cabernets and Zinfandels. The late harvest Zin Port has had it's own fan club develop around it. So, as they say at Alapay, "Come on it, the water's wine!" Wine is priced at $15-$50 per bottle. Case discounts and special Wine Club Member pricing is also available.
