Achadjian's not the one

Atascadero

Like many people, I’ve been inundated with political flyers promoting the “extraordinary qualifications” of those seeking higher elected office. A little analysis makes me wonder about Katcho Achadjian, who supports him, and what he would really do if he’s elected to the Assembly this November. His record as a county supervisor gives me pause and Katcho refused to make a no-new-tax pledge, according to a report I read in the daily newspaper. I’m also concerned he was endorsed by Abel Maldonaldo, who broke ranks to vote with the Democrats on the budget fiasco. Most disturbingly, he’s endorsed by public employees’ unions. Aren’t the high salaries and over-generous pensions given to public employees among the main reasons California is approaching bankruptcy? Why are these unions so enthusiastic about Katcho?
