I wish to response to Robert Jones’ letter (“Get a job,” Letters, Aug. 21, 2008).
I have seen Mr. Robert Smith and his children on the bus several times. His children are all well behaved and clean. It is unfortunate that the mother is in jail—why she is, I don’t know. But he has been keeping his family together until such time as he can get into a welding program or find shelter and a job to take care of his family.
Please have a little more compassion for these children and a father, who is trying to keep them together and provide for them in the best way he can at this time.
