Whether it be the “good reason or real reason,” Pacific Gas and Electric is willing to put at risk, injure, kill, or harass many of our ocean’s living treasures. This is PG&E and local, state, and federal government at its dumbest. Some say this seismic imaging project is for our safety. Do they question the plant’s current safety? Why weren’t these issues considered when the Diablo plant was studied and designed?
If I had the knowledge, I might develop a web-page and a plan to stop this test from happening. My call to arms would be to every surfer, fisherman, pleasure boats, kayakers, coastal restaurant owners, Sea Shepherd supporters, the Surfrider Foundation, Pacific Whale Foundation, and all of you, who love, appreciate, and respect our environment. What we saw this summer when the whales, dolphins, seals, and the like visited our shorelines may not be seen again in our lifetimes if this test goes forward.
If I had a plan, I would hope for 1,000 or more people and obstacles for the “the stated unreliable vessel Langseth.” However, I don’t know how to create a website; I don’t have a boat or any obstacles; but I do have a surfboard, and I would paddle out. I want to condemn all the experts, none of who are sure about impacts and unknown risk. But they are going to fire a warning blast to the whales before they potentially kill or injure them.
