Great piece, thank you. I am absolutely stunned how many young people think nuclear is the answer. Those of us old enough to really remember 3 Mile Island and Chernobyl understand nuclear power comes with unacceptable risks. Diablo Canyon is only feet from a fault line connected to other very active fault lines. We have been lucky, so far. Nuclear is non renewable, toxic, and dangerous. Good riddance!

Why did The Tribune run the photo of the hateful lawn signs that some AG residents produced to stop a much needed homeless shelter, as the graphic to run with this article? Are all AG residents now tainted by that nasty minority's narrow-mindedness? Is that all we are known for now? I would hope not. This article is about public vaping, not public hating.

Bravo, Robert Cuddy! Eloquent, intelligent and exactly on point. We live in the immediate neighborhood and the blinding hypocrisy of our "Neighbors for Safety" should embarrass them all into silence. Alas, they do not and will not believe facts, as they have gathered all the (often absurd!) false facts they need to justify their ugly, intolerant hatred. They feign interest in dialog and compromise, yet the only solution they will find acceptable is scrapping the entire project.
It is past time we take the gloves off, and call out these folks for who they truly are. Thank you very much, Mr. Cuddy, for doing just that.
