Crony capitalism IS capitalism. There is no special enlightened type of capitalism where the contradictions suddenly don't exist because rich people decide to be nice after seeing a documentary or reading a bumper sticker slogan.

LOL progressives are butt blasted about Cal Coast News because CCN reports on things the establishment press won't which forces everyone to be slightly more objective when their guys are caught behaving badly. That used to be considered a good thing, but the hippies own vacation homes and retirement portfolios now.
I'm not of the same political persuasion as CCN (or New Times or the TT) but I can appreciate the value they bring to the sparse landscape of journalism in this region. And I really don't know where the "can't be trusted" meme comes from. They have been pretty decent on what they choose to report on and I have seen them more willing than any other publication to correct themselves when they get a fact wrong. Is it because they give a voice to politicians who aren't in the Harmon weed mafia?
If you are going to say they aren't accurate then give examples, most likely CCN would correct themselves and thank you for it. Or is it just purely political?
