Re: “Public tells NOAA they want a larger marine sanctuary off Central Coast

Now is your chance to contribute your voice directly to NOAA and let them know the importance of including Morro Bay in the Chumash Heritage National Marine Sanctuary. There are multiple ways to share your input between now and Oct. 25, when the comment period closes: Make comments at virtual public comment meeting on Oct. 12 at 1 p.m. (you have to register in advance); comment online via the federal rule-making portal; or mail your comment directly to NOAA. Re: “Best of SLO County 2022: Eats

I did not see "Best Farm Stand" on the Best Of this year...did I miss it?
Last year or so, Rutiz Family Farm won; now Jerry Rutiz has retired and sold the farm to Ariela Gottschalk and Jeff Pienack and it's now named Halcyon Farms. The same delicious, nutritious pesticide-free veggies and berries are grown, with "guest" vendors of citrus fruits, bread (2), vegan desserts, baked goods, organic grass-fed meats, and sometimes organic sprouts and micro greens. But I maintain that Halcyon Farm is the very best farm stand, year after year!!! Please look for them on The Pike near Elm St. in Arroyo Grande, open on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays!! You'll be back again and again!!

Re: “New Life K9s connects the PTSD-prone with service dogs through an army of support

Local interfaith organization, People of Faith for Justice, is podcasting; we interviewed folks from New Life Canines last year. If you'd like to hear the podcast interview to learn more, go to peopleoffaithforjustice.org and click on PODCASTS. Look for Episode # 5. Here's a link: https://pfjpodcast.libsyn.com/new-life-k9s…

We enjoyed speaking with folks from New Life Canines...what a wonderful program, and a really good Strokes and Plugs article!

Re: “School site shuffle: Parents, teachers push back as the Paso Robles school district talks about closing one school and moving students to another

Why does this article end on such a negative note? Is there a “permanent” flag there with that sentiment on it? Seriously? That flag was left in place??? Too much unanswered to end the article with the statement that someone can drive by the school and see such a flag. This school district is a stain against all education in our county. I am heartened to know the Federal government is investigating some of the seriously questionable activities that this inadequate and biased school board has refused to address. .
