Re: “SLO Planning Commission opposes latest version of Anholm bikeway

"'The real preferred resolution is to leave things as they are,' Gurnee said."

Well isn't that the summation of Gurnee's entire platform.

Come on Gurnee, let's see your plan to make Santa Rosa Street safe to bike for all ages, because we need to focus on arterial. Oh, you don't have one?

Only if you're a fit strong adult. This isn't about you. If you're younger or older or even a bit slower on a bike, you can't. Especially uphill on Broad.

Re: “Socially engineered city

"Did you know, for example, the city spends only 50 percent of transportation funds making driving safer, more convenient, and relieving traffic congestion?"

Did you know that those funds are paid for by everyone in general taxes and have nothing to do with driving?

Davis' bike share has been declining BECAUSE it hasn't built cycletracks.. Don't comment about things you know nothing about.

You share nothing about how you arrived at your statistics, your claims about congestion causing increased carbon emissions are rebutted by anyone with a modicum of knowledge about the subject.
