Most residents in Los Osos today would agree "location" is one crucial factor when considering 'placement' of our utilities, after spending millions $$ attempting to build a sewer plant in the wrong place. Therefore this issue should be recognized as a foremost important consideration and include 'ample' buffers between the proposed dog park and other uses adjoining the proposed site to avoid or minimize conflicts, lawsuits from all the residents living along the east fence line due to noises or stench from dog urine etc.
If, and when we consult the entire community by a vote about reducing the size of our already undersized people park to socialize our dogs, we may want to reconsider said location.
It's not just about socialization of our dogs. It's socialization for the entire community, not just we dog owners.
That's how communities are built, as one writer put it.
