Well said!
Great post.
Tennis is not a noisy sport.
Right on! More representation equals a needed change in temperament, priorities and point of view.
Thanks for the positive review. It's a fun show!
Transparency, oversight and truthfulness from public officials are a must in order to enact meaningful reform in our County Jail. Parkinson has violated the public trust by refusing to take responsibility for the excessive number of jail deaths that have occurred under his watch. Parkinson should step down.
Re: “We need to find common ground as we head toward the next election”
There is plenty of opportunity for common ground right now. Climate change, protecting the integrity of our elections, curbing gun violence, uniting against domestic terrorism, protecting the integrity of our kids' education. But where are these mythical "responsible" Republicans on these issues? Particularly with respect to repudiating the masked White Supremacists who have been trying to get free publicity for the past several months around SLO County.
Perhaps the so-called Chamber of Commerce Republicans - the old-timey Reaganites - tell each other privately in hushed tones how awful they think this stuff is, how it's ultimately bad for business and not what America is all about. But where are they PUBLICLY? If I'm to believe that anybody on the right is ready to hold hands and find common ground, a bold statement from each and every one of them against the violence that the Maga movement is calling for would be the best indicator of their willingness to cooperate. Anybody who can't do at least that is not looking for "common ground."
Local Republicans... where do you stand on this issue: for or against the message of white supremacy? Which side are you on? And yes, I realize that the Neo-Nazi demonstrations are legal. It's not the legality of their activities that I'm concerned about; it's their lack of humanity.
