Vote yes on Proposition 22

Arroyo Grande

Come this Nov. 2, California voters have an opportunity to stop state politicians from raiding local taxpayer funds, funds that should be used for essential local services like emergency 911 services, police services, and fire services, as well as street and road improvements. That’s why I urge everyone to vote yes on Proposition 22—to protect local services and to stop allowing the state of California from raiding local government coffers and taking local funds and using them for state purposes. The state needs to learn how to balance its own budget, to live within its own means, and to stop taking away local funding from cities, counties, and school districts!

By voting Yes on Proposition 22, we can stop Sacramento legislators from raiding funds that don’t belong to them, but belong to local governments. Proposition 22 will protect local government revenues that fund public safety services, fix our local roads, fund our parks, provide senior services, and enhance our quality of life here on the Central Coast. If we can live within our means, so can the state government. That’s why I urge you to vote yes on Proposition 22.
