Thanks for the warm response

Shell Beach Elementary School and Judkins Middle School held its fifth annual Recycle the Warmth Drive. We collected hundreds of new and used blankets, sleeping bags, jackets, gloves, hats, beanies, and toys for the less privileged during this Thanksgiving season and delivered them to the San Luis Obispo EOC Homeless Shelter.

Our Recycle the Warmth Drive is a way to share with our community the importance of kindness, charity, and volunteering. We believe that ordinary families can make extraordinarily differences in our community and our nation.

We want to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to San Luis Garbage Company, along with Dick Keenan and Narlene Carter-Keenen from Keller Williams Realty. They made our drive a success with the donation of 10 96-gallon recycling containers and the use of a moving van.

We know that when America’s diverse families and children are healthy, our nation prospers. We hope our drive encourages others to follow in our footsteps and offer what they can to the less fortunate during this holiday giving season. I would personally like to thank our awesome family/school/community for making this drive a success!
