There is today a special opportunity for the police, fire, and emergency services of Arroyo Grande, Grover Beach, and Pismo Beach to consolidate their forces into a single location.
There is a two-acre parcel located at the conjunction on Oak Park Boulevard, and contrary to some opinions, its access can be easily built. This access can be constructed by doing the following:
1) The present stop line for southbound traffic would be re-located 40 feet to the north on Oak Park Boulevard.
2) Suitable signalization would then be installed.
Regardless of previous commitments, if the three cities can get their act together, this will give them the best location at the least expense.
