One of the most ignorant arguments against health care reform is that the government would make decisions about health care delivery.
Are the people who fear that OK with CEOs and "for-profit" corporate bureaucrats making the decisions? Who do they think is making those decisions now? It's people who have a profit motive first and foremost who are making the decisions.
It's embarrassing to live in the wealthiest nation and still have profit, greed, and materialism above the simple right to health. Health care reform will strengthen, not hurt, Medicare.
True health care reform would basically extend Medicare to all--just like the health systems every other industrialized country has in place. We would still be able to choose our own doctor and health insurance plan.
Let's be educated and not be sheep following corporate profit interests!
