A heartfelt thank you to the community

San Luis Obispo

This letter is a response to the generous outpouring of community support at the recent benefit for the Tobin girls.

A “Casino Night” at the Holland Ranch was held Saturday, June 28, to a capacity crowd of wonderful people. They came in response to the tragic death of Trent Tobin from pancreatic cancer and the plight of his wife, who’s dealing with a second bout of cancer while still raising their two girls, Emily 14 and Samantha 11.

The food donated by the Kiwanis Club exceeded all expectations. The expertise and orchestration of the Casino Night by Linda, and her amazing crew at Casino Equipment Rental, was first-rate, and table arrangements donated by Art of Flower were incredible. But, of course, it is the people who bought tickets, donated money, donated items to the silent and live auctions, donated their services, and came to the event, who created this success. It made us proud, and humbled us, to know we’re part of such a caring community.

Anyone unable to attend, and wishing to make a donation, can send it to: FBO Tobin Family, c/o Carty Holland, 1925 Corralitos Ave. SLO, CA 93401.
