Two dead in suspected murder-suicide in Morro Bay 

Morro Bay Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting deaths of a man and woman in Morro Bay on Aug. 22.

Police released the names of the victims, 36-year-old Angelica Ramos and 47-year-old Bryan Keith Tuck Aug. 23. While the investigation is still ongoing, police believe the deaths are the result of a murder-suicide, with Tuck killing Ramos, then turning the gun on himself.

Ramos and Tuck’s bodies were found in a home on the 2400 block of Greenwood Avenue after an officer on patrol noticed that the home’s door was open. The officer was in the process of securing the home and leaving a note on the front door when he saw a person lying on the floor of the kitchen, according to a press release from the Morro Bay Police Department. Officers later entered the home, where they discovered the bodies of Tuck and Ramos, as well as a 4-year-old child.

The child was alive, unharmed, and released to the custody of family members, according to police.

Police have yet to indicate any suspected motive for the crime. Tuck was a registered nurse who’d worked at Atascadero State Hospital since 2009, according to the California Department of State Hospitals.

Friends and family mourned both Ramos and Tuck on social media following reports of their deaths.

“Angelica was a beautiful person and a great mom,” Jessica Cervantes, a friend of Ramos, wrote on Facebook. “I ask that my family and friends here pray for her family at this time, that God carry them through this tragedy.”

Scott, Tuck’s younger brother, also took to Facebook, characterizing his sibling as “the ultimate big brother.”

“We are beyond devastated,” he wrote. “Any prayers and best wishes are very much appreciated.”
