Two forums featuring the candidates for the San Luis Obispo mayoral and City Council races will be held in the coming weeks, giving community members an opportunity to get a face-to-face grasp on the issues.
The first forum, co-sponsored by the SLO Chamber of Commerce and the Rotary de Tolosa Club, will begin at noon on Oct. 8 at the Madonna Inn. Tickets cost $20 and can be bought online at slochamber.org or at the Chamber’s office at 1039 Chorro St. The registration deadline is Oct. 6 at 9 a.m. and no walk-ins will be permitted.
The second forum will be held at San Luis Obispo Country Club on Oct. 12, and is sponsored by the Residents for Quality Neighborhoods of San Luis Obispo. Dinner will begin at 7 p.m. and the forum will follow. Reservations for dinner must be made by Oct. 7 by calling 544-0426.
