A Cambrian resident who recently suffered a fall that paralyzed him is in need of some support. The David McCall Benefit Fundraiser will take place on Feb. 3 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Cambria Vets Hall. The evening will feature a rock and roll, rhythm and blues, and bluegrass concert a silent auction appetizers and desserts from local restaurants and no-host beer and wine. The McCalls are longtime Cambria residents who are actively involved in the community. Enhancement, Inc., a local organization dedicated to assisting the recovery of breast cancer survivors and distributing information to the public about breast cancer, is hosting its Fifth Annual Dessert Extravaganza Fundraiser on Jan. 28 from 2 to 4 p.m at the Cliffs Resort in Shell Beach. A $20 ticket purchases guests the opportunity to bid on all dessert entries and wines, plus free coffee, milk, cheese, and crackers. A $35 ticket purchases all of the above in addition to an Enhancement wineglass and the opportunity to taste wines offered by five wineries. Tickets can be purchased at the door.
