Watch professional golfers and other top players compete for $125,000 in prizes at the Straight Down Fall Classic at San Luis Obispo Country Club on Nov. 9, 10, and 11. The public is invited, with no admission fee.

Presented by Heritage Oaks Bank, the tournament features PGA, Champions, and Nationwide Tour professionals club professionals and quality amateur partners.

The format--36 holes of four-ball stroke play at scratch--includes former U.S. Open winner Scott Simpson, former British Open champion Tom Lehman, San Luis Obispo native Loren Roberts, and PGA Tour star Charley Hoffman, who won the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic earlier this year. Gary McCord, a CBS golf analyst, author, and instructor, will also play.

Tee times for the 36-hole tournament are split from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 10 and 11. An 18-hole pro-am shotgun start tournament at 8 a.m. on Nov. 9 is also part of the weekend. A pairings party on Thursday night at the country club matches a professional with four other golfers. SLO's downtown high-fashion boutique, Coverings, just celebrated its grand opening at a new location in the Historic Warden Building at 760 Higuera St. The new spot offers more floor space for shoes and accessories, and a new section dedicated to men's fashion.
