Crash leads to small outage 

Some San Luis Obispo residents were left without power April 3 after a Pacific Beach Continuation High student crashed his vehicle into telephone pole guide wires. The crash damaged phone and electrical lines and attracted gawkers along Los Osos Valley Road.

Police said the collision came after the man had an argument with another student. He was uninjured, however, and returned to class, according to school principal Karen Lopez.

SLO Police Lt. Chris Staley said no criminal or traffic citations were issued.

The student's name was not released.
