As part of a regular review, 347 San Luis Obispo County fees will be increasing in 2012.
Out of 2,648 fees reviewed, however, 1,418 will remain unchanged, such as parking fees at the San Luis Obispo County Airport. Much of the fee changes likely won’t cause a stir, but golfers will have to fork over an additional $90 for annual private golf cart registration. On the other hand, an 18-hole round of golf at Chalk Mountain Golf Course will only cost $37, rather than $43.
No fees will decrease at county parks, but 22 of the 79 fees will increase due to a 10-percent decline in parks revenue. For example, a regional and lake vehicle pass will increase to $150 from $135.
County supervisors unanimously approved the fee changes at their
Nov. 22 meeting.
All the changes for probation, parks, golf courses, and the airport will go into effect Jan. 1, 2012, and fees in all other departments will go into effect July 1. ∆
