The talented Mike Sinor is one of the few elite winemakers who can buy Talley grapes—and with good reason. He makes this outstanding Pinot Noir consistently, year after year. While I like all Sinor LaVallee Pinots, each one is unique, and I find this one the most versatile for pairing with food. It’s layered with pretty black cherries and plums, and is intricately woven with notes of strawberries, cranberries, spice, and minerals. The awesome blend of black and red fruit flavors makes it delicious with a grilled New York steak, wild salmon, or peppered ahi. Enjoy it with special meals that equal the caliber of this fine wine. I recommend buying one to drink now, and at least one or more to cellar for the rewards that come from aging special wines. It’s at Taste of the Valleys Pismo Beach, an amazing value even at $40 retail.
