Words come to life 

Take in the live reading of a local poet and maybe even show off some of your own original rhymes on July 2 at Steynberg Gallery in San Luis Obispo.

The event will feature poet Michael Hannon and his recently published book of poetry, The Muse Turns Her Back, starting at 3 p.m. An open reading will follow, limiting each poet to performing five minutes of original work. The event is free. For for more information, visit languageofthesoul.org.
