SLO Color Blast Fun Run is coming on Jan. 23

The saying “with flying colors” isn’t usually meant literally, but for one day, colors will fly, leap, and, well, blast right at your face, body, and anywhere else they can hit.

The SLO Color Blast Fun Run combines the vivid hues of art with good old-fashioned exercise. This colorful event takes place on Jan. 23 at 10 a.m. at San Luis Obispo High School. Registration fees are $35 per person, and all participants will be provided with a T-shirt for the event that will start out white and end up bedazzled with an original rainbow masterpiece. (Don’t worry, the color you’ll be blasted with is just made out of food coloring and corn starch.) Attendees can run, walk, or even cartwheel their way across the 3-mile course.

Proceeds from the run will go toward the Alex Maier Memorial Fund & Scholarship in honor of former San Luis Obispo High School soccer player Alex Maier, who was killed in a car accident.

Visit slocolorblast.com for more information about the event.
