'Candid Camera' comes to Clark Center July 11 

You know the show we’re talking about. Peter Funt, host of the popular TV show Candid Camera, will bring a nostalgic comedic stage show to the Clark Center in Arroyo Grande this July 11.

Benefitting the Food Bank Coalition of SLO, Candid Camera’s Eight Decades of Smiles with Peter Funt is a stage comedy that blends behind the scenes clips and quotes from the show’s most laughable moments.

Created by Peter’s father, Allen Funt, the show is the only entertainment program to have produced new episodes in each of the last decades, from Allen’s start in 1948 through Peter’s run on TV Land last summer.

“The coastal communities from San Francisco to Santa Barbara have always been our show’s secret ingredient,” Peter said. “We’ve shot more than 100 sequences here, so I’m happy we can have a gathering of friends and neighbors for a bit of celebration.”

You can expect new and old gags as well as audience participation (audience members will get a chance to join Peter on stage for a rousing round of Candid trivia questions). There will be prizes!

The show takes place at 7 p.m. on July 11 at The Clark Center, located at 487 Fair Oaks Drive in Arroyo Grande. Tickets are $45, $35, and $30 and are available at clarkcenter.org.
