Weekly Poll
Do you agree with U.S. Rep. Salud Carbajal's (D-Santa Barbara) decision to attend Trump's inauguration?

Yes. He should definitely go and show respect for the new president.
I agree that he should attend to show Trump that Latinos have a strong voice in our government.
No. He should stand in solidarity with U.S. Rep. John Lewis (D-Georgia) and other congressional members who aren't attending.
I don't care what he does on inauguration day, as long as he does a good job as a congressman.

Student Guide 2016

Student Guide 2016

I’m not sure anyone would accuse SLO County of having diversity. And for some Cal Poly students and staff and faculty members, it’s something the university needs to take a long hard look at creating. It’s about inclusion, campus culture, and people’s attitudes. In the cover story for this year’s annual Student Guide, Staff Writer Peter Johnson talks to stakeholders about race, diversity, and the changes needed to fix Poly’s perceived issue.

For more in this year’s Student Guide we can teach you how to keep your leftovers alive, what five things you should know about college that nobody ever tells you, why Cuesta College is starting a nuclear power education program, where the new “it” spot to get a tattoo is, and which places to explore outside of SLO.

—Camillia Lanham, editor
