The Appeal

Music Genre: Pop/Rock
Located: Santa Maria
The Appeal are a group made up of childhood and high school friends. The group began humbly as an ensemble called Never In Between with singer Nat Ensley, bassist Rob Barragan, drummer Jorge Olivas and guitarists Tyler Reed and Paul Ibrahim. Never In Between yielded a moodie alternative rock/waltz. After a few years of gigs here and there with many different faces sitting behind the drumset, Tyler left the band to pursue other options in life. It wasn't long before the guys decided that they got sick of their sound and began writing all new material. Soon they reemerged as The Appeal. With a new name came a new sound. They hoped to combine attributes if indie rock and alternative rock with a few jazz tricks thrown into the mix. Their sound is in perpetual flux from song to song; and with the departure of metal drummer Sir Darren Keser and the addition of Joe Lawson of Sone, from drummer to drummer as well. Please enjoy listening.
