What you see: Listen!
1937: Listen!
Music Genre: New Country
Located: San Luis Obispo
With the release of his debut EP titled, “From the Mountains to the Sea”, Chase McBride (20 yrs. old), along with drummer Jonathan Withem and bassist Austin Mello, have found the avenue through which to spread their inspirational songs to fans worldwide. Chase spent much of the past few years carefully refining his honest brand of songwriting, as well as handpicking a talented group of musicians to complete his unique folk-inspired sound. The group spent much of 2008 writing and recording for their debut EP release, planting roots in the peaceful hills of the central coast. With help from prominent figures in California’s music scene, the band took on the project with only a shoestring budget and the expectations of producing something genuinely moving. Sharing the stage with acts like: Still Time, Damon Castillo Band, Pepper, Shelley Short, and Forrest Day the experienced ensemble has played to crowds of 1500+. Building on their already solid foundation of devoted fans, the trio is now taking their music to the next level. Look out for hints of folk, reggae, rock, and even hip-hop in the bands’ widely diverse repertoire.
