Grover picks Molnar's replacementBY NICK POWELLThe Grover Beach City Council welcomed a new member on Feb. 25. Glenn Marshall, who works as a civil engineer with San Luis Obispo County Public Works and has served as a Grover Beach planning commissioner, was unanimously approved to fill the seat left vacant by Phyllis Molnar, who resigned abruptly in January after moving outside the city limits. Ten candidates for the position fielded questions one at a time from the city council for roughly an hour. Marshall was sworn in immediately afterward and will serve the remainder of Molnar’s term, which expires in December 2014. |
