SLO assault victims describe similar suspectBY NICK POWELLThree women told San Luis Obispo police officers that a young man in a dark sweatshirt approached them unexpectedly and reached inside their pants during the early-morning hours between Feb. 2 and 3. According to a press release, all three women were standing outside on Foothill Boulevard near Cal Poly. No one was hurt physically, but they were all traumatized, the release said. The assaults and the description of the suspect match a pair of incidents that occurred last March and April, also near the Cal Poly campus. It’s unknown at this time if the assaults are related. The SLO Police Department asked that anyone with information call Crime Stopper at 549-STOP (7867) and recommended that people out late stay in groups and walk in well-lit areas. |
