Air strikes are a start, but let’s put boots on the ground.
Look for less confrontational ways to address the situation, like economic sanctions and a multilateral peacekeeping effort.
They’re a pissed off byproduct of the 2003 Iraq invasion. Maybe it’s time to stop creating more terrorists.
Let’s begin by helping the refugees that fled from their violence.

• In the Dec. 21 article “Cuesta cuts some, modifies others,” the scope of the 10 programs cut by the Cuesta College Board of Trustees was inaccurate. Just six programs included degrees or certificates.

• In the Jan. 3 article “Movies with a mitzvah,” the relationship between the Jewish Community Center and the San Luis Obispo Museum of Art was misstated. They are not partners, but a reception for the festival will take place at SLOMA and the museum’s assistant director, Muara Johnston, is acting as co-director for the festival.
