Stay off of their tailsArroyo GrandeVince PetrieRegarding Jerry James’ four-part cartoon on Feb. 14: There are many possible reasons why the car ahead of you may be going slower than you want. The car or the driver may be old and they’re just being careful. Maybe they want to save fuel. Maybe they’re looking for an address or destination in an unfamiliar neighborhood. Maybe they’re just not in as much of a hurry as you. Whatever the reason, tailgating won’t make them go any faster. It will just make them nervous and more likely to do something unexpected. So please have some courtesy and don’t tailgate. Remember, the faster you go, the more people you get stuck behind. |
