So, speaker of the U.S. House of Represententatives Paul Ryan says, “Welcome to the dawn of a new unified Republican government” and the first thing this new government tries to implement is the gutting of the ethics panel in Congress. Now, I know that congressional (House & Senate) Republicans have no ethics, are total frauds, and are completely bought and paid for by corporate and special interests, but to so boldly announce it to the world demonstrates their utter arrogance and the contempt they have for the American people.
The irony of Paul Ryan, the heartless and gutless leader of the House and golden boy of the far right, getting “schooled” on ethics and politics by the ethically challenged and political neophyte Donald Trump is priceless. If it weren’t so sad and predictive of the next four years, it would be laughable. As Ryan (contempt and disrespect intended) said, “Welcome to the dawn of a new unified Republican government;” buckle-up everyone, it’s going to be a terrifying ride!
